Disinfecting & Cleaning

“Transmission of coronavirus in general occurs much more commonly through respiratory droplets than through fomites. Current evidence suggests that the novel coronavirus may remain viable for hours to days on surfaces made from a variety of materials. Cleaning of visibly dirty surfaces followed by disinfection is a best practice measure for prevention of COVID-19 and other viral respiratory illnesses in community settings.” CDC

The CDC recommends a two-step process that begins with a thorough cleaning of the surface, followed by decontamination with an "EPA List N Registered disinfectant with emerging virus kill claims".

Cleaning refers to the removal of dirt and impurities, including germs, from surfaces. Cleaning alone does not kill germs. But by removing the germs, it decreases their number and therefore any risk of spreading infection. If applicable for the removal of dirt and impurities, we vacuum with a HEPA Vac Unit

Disinfecting works by using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces, but kills any germs remaining on the surface after a thorough cleaning. Disinfecting further reduces the risk of spreading infection.

Surface Cleaning

Surface clean with correctly blended and approved EPA Disinfectant/Soap solution by wiping solid surfaces including, but not necessarily limited to:

Handrails
Doorknobs/push plates
Desk or work surfaces to include keyboard, computer mouse, and head phones
Light switches
Elevator buttons
Bathroom sinks
Toilet
Paper dispensers
Countertops
Water fountain or cooler controls

Mobile Equipment , including tractor trailer units, fleet vehicles shared material handing units.

A customized punch list and program is developed for each client

Disinfecting Using ULV (Ultra Low Volume)

Large, high volume ULV units can treat spacious, open areas very quickly. Our units can disinfect areas at a rate of 4-5,000 cubic feet per minute, using the recommended product application rates. This is great for areas such as warehouses, shop space, meeting rooms, lobby's supply rooms, and other common areas. We allow the ultrafine mist of disinfectant to remain on surfaces for the recommended “Kill-Time”. Then introduce fresh air back into the space. For office spaces and sensitive areas, we utilize smaller, handheld units.

Waste Coordination

Disposal will be handled in accordance with current regulations

Disposal will be determined based on reason for cleaning (suspected/confirmed vs. preventative).

Known cases of COVID-19 will be handled as medical waste
